The Cougars soccer teams played their last Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference regular season games this weekend, while the women's volleyball team played in their last pre-season tournament.

Saturday the soccer teams were in Winnipeg and squared off against Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges, women at 1 p.m. and men at 3:15 p.m.

The women's match saw the Les Rouges pull ahead 4-0 in the first half, but the Cougars were able to hold them to one goal in the second half to lose 5-0.

On Sunday the Cougars soccer teams travelled to Otterburne, MB to take on the Providence University Colleges Pilots in their last match of the season.  The cougars had an excellent first half, holding the pilots to one goal.  The second half the back of the net saw a little more action, with the Cougars losing 0-4 to the pilots.  All in all, it was an excellent game for the Cougars to finish their season with, as they demonstrated a lot of growth in their play.

The men’s match saw the Pilots lead 5-0 over the Cougars at half-time.  They managed to hold the Pilots to two goals in the second half and found the back of the net themselves, to make the final score 7-1 for the Pilots.  Hillman Williams scored the lone goal for the Cougars.

The women's volleyball team was also out in Otterburne this weekend, playing in the Providence University Colleges Invitational tournament.  Here they were able to take their first swing at the other teams in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference that they will play in regular season.
