(Educational Supplement: Master’s Degree $2,850 per annum; PhD $5,700 per annum)

Assiniboine Community College has been providing exceptional learning experiences that have been transforming lives and strengthening Manitoba through applied education and research for more than 60 years.

In partnership with Ebb and Flow First Nation Health Authority Incorporated, ACC is seeking a full time term instructor (or may consider several part-time term instructors) to facilitate its two year Early Childhood Education program. Reporting to the chairperson or program coordinator, instructors are primarily responsible for the development and delivery of curricula and evaluation of ECE (Early Childhood Education) performance.

Be Passionate and Take Initiative with these Responsibilities:

  • Instruct ECE (Early Childhood Education) in a classroom and provide academic assistance during consultation hours.
  • Modify and/or develop course objectives, course outlines, curricula and evaluation procedures and instruments.
  • Prepare and maintain all course-related records including evaluation, attendance records, and submit information as required.
  • Identify, prepare, and organize course materials and learning resources for course delivery.
  • Enthusiasm that can be applied to classroom management, student evaluation, academic advising and related administrative duties will be essential.

Be able to deliver results by having:

  • ECE III required
  • Relevant post-secondary ECE education and significant industry experience that enables you to effectively provide instruction in one or more of the following areas: child development, children’s special needs, communicating with children with varying disabilities, and vulnerable children and/or families, nutritional meal planning and practicum supervision.
  • Teaching in an adult environment is highly desirable along with experience using Moodle an asset.
  • Solid understanding of program and curriculum development, Indigenization and decolonization of curriculum, classroom instruction, assessment and evaluation, student advising and group facilitation.
  • Someone who loves to communicate, wants to share their knowledge and is committed to creating exceptional learning experiences for our students.
  • Well-developed technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Word
