ACC now taking nursing applications for Dauphin rural rotating site

As of March 2, 2015, ACC will begin accepting applications for its two-year Practical Nursing diploma program being offered in Dauphin.

A total of 25 students will be accepted into the program, which has classes starting in September 2015.

Applications submitted to ACC’s Parkland Campus in Dauphin in person during the week of March 2 to 6 will be handled on a first come, first served basis.

Any applications submitted to the college’s Victoria Avenue East Campus in Brandon before March 9, either in person or by mail, will be date-stamped as being received on March 9 and considered after those received in Dauphin the week prior.

Dauphin is one of three locations most recently selected as a rural rotating site for Practical Nursing. These rotating sites are intended to extend the reach of the college’s nursing program in communities throughout Manitoba.

The Practical Nursing program teaches clinical nursing skills in a laboratory setting and applied skills in acute and extended care health facilities, personal care homes, community agencies and private homes.
