Everyone is welcome to attend this free event. Light refreshments will be served.


Assiniboine Community College and Brandon University welcome students, faculty, staff and community members for a free screening of the short documentary, “One Gay City: A History of LGBT Life in Winnipeg”. From a deeply closeted culture to a more open and out society, “One Gay City” takes viewers on an emotional tour of Winnipeg’s LGBT community through personal stories, news headlines and archival images. The film is rated PG.

Following the film, there will be a short discussion about the advances made to date and what the community of Brandon—and specifically Assiniboine and BU—can do to help break down barriers and promote inclusive, safe campuses.
