We can offer cohort programs in culinary, hospitality, business, and health care aide. These programs are offered at different times than our regular September program start date, and are for international students only.  Fees will differ from a regular September program with a similar name.

Culinary Arts

If you’re creative, energetic, and thrive in a fast-paced, team atmosphere, check out what Culinary Arts has to offer. Indulge your creativity and rise to the challenge with our Culinary Arts program. You’ll take on the full menu of food preparation, including nutrition, presentation and international cuisine.  This is a competitve entry program.  Please make sure to review the complete admission requirements for this program.

Ends:  June 2020

Tuition:  $16,700 for first year; second year fees to be determined

Admission Requirements:

1)      Academic: 

  • This is a competitive entry program. Please see the competitive entry page under the Registrar’s Office section of the website for further details.

  • Equivalent of Manitoba Grade 12

  • Language Arts at Grade 12/Senior Secondary level.

  • Mathematics at Grade 12/Senior Secondary level.  Appropriate mathematics coursework in a recognized college or university program will also be considered.

2)      English Language Proficiency:  IELTS Academic test with overall score of 6.5 with no subscore less than 6.0, or equivalent score on other acceptable English Language Proficiency assessment. 

*Note: The nature of this program means that students have both regular day classes as well as evening classes and events.

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN.  Early application is strongly recommended. Competitive entry applications will be reviewed beginning on February 15, 2018, and will continue until the program is full.  Applicant selection and offers of admission will be made based on information on file after all information is received, and on specific decision dates. All applicants must clear any requirements on their conditional acceptance letters to a satisfactory level by a date no later than 30 days before the first day of classes. If not cleared, these conditions will not be waived, and applicants will not be allowed to enrol in the program.

Network Administration Technician - APPLICATIONS CLOSED 

The Network Administration Technician program provides students with the theory and practical hands-on experience for entry-level positions in the Information Technology environment.  This eight-month certificate program introduces students to the world of network administration and provides them with the necessary skills and training with the potential to further their education in ACC’s Network Administration Technology diploma program.

Admission Requirements:

1)      Academic: 

  1.        Equivalent of Manitoba Grade 12
  2.        Mathematics at Grade 12/Senior Secondary level, with grade equivalent to 60% in Manitoba.  Appropriate mathematics coursework in a recognized college or university program will also be considered.

2)      English Language Proficiency:  IELTS Academic test with overall score of 6.5 with no subscore less than 6.0, or equivalent score on other acceptable English Language Proficiency assessment. 

 

 

Comprehensive Health Care Aide - International (Two Cohorts: Brandon & Winnipeg)

The CHCA program prepares you for a challenging and fulfilling career in health care.  If you have compassion and respect for people of all ages and cultures, then being a health care aide can be a rewarding choice.  There is a strong clinical component in a wide variety of health care settings and the program emphasizes employability skills desired by health care employers.  Graduates my find employment in acute and extended care hospitals, personal care homes, private care facilities, mental health settings and home care.

Accounting & Finance

This advanced diploma builds on your university degree or two-year college diploma. You will take courses related to accounting and business, including some recognized by the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA).  This credential will help prepare you for employment in large and small businesses in all sectors of the business community.
