The Prairie Horticulture Certificate program offers, via distance delivery, courses designed with Prairie Canada conditions in mind.
The Prairie Horticulture Certificate program is the first distance horticulture program that is designed specifically for the prairie provinces. This program provides skills and training for owners, managers or employees of horticulture businesses as well as anyone with an interest in horticulture.
Choose your stream of study:
- Fruit and Vegetable Production
- Greenhouse Crop Production
- Landscaping and Arboriculture
- Nursery Crop Production
Courses from the streams can be taken toward your certificate or as stand-alone options for personal interest and professional upgrading. Courses are offered online and/or as print-based home study options.
Once you apply or enrol in your home institution, you can take classes from all consortium members.
You must successfully complete a minimum of 360 hours or 36 credits comprising of at least eight courses to be awarded a certificate.
