Overview
The Chargehand will participate in the activities of the Water Treatment Facility and to coordinate the employees working in the Section in delivering of services provided by the Division. This position is capped at Level 4 Chargehand.
Qualifications
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
- Class III Operator’s certificate in Water Treatment as issued by Manitoba Conservation;
- Class 4 Power Engineer certification issued under the Power Engineer’s Act and regulation, must be obtained within twelve (12) months of appointment.
- Three (3) years experience in the Water Treatment Facility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Class IV Operator’s certificate in Water Treatment as issued by Manitoba Conservation, must be obtained within twenty four (24) months of appointment:
- Two (2) years experience in a progressive leadership role;
- Five (5) years experience in the Water Treatment Facility or similar operations;
- Experience working with collective agreements or corporate policies an asset.
