Position Overview:

Assiniboine is currently looking to hire a Job Coach for their Education Assistant program in Nelson House.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with students to as they adapt to classroom education by balancing priorities
- Help students identify skills for success by identifying their interests and abilities
- Help students identify educational requirements in their courses and develop training plans
- Work with the Instructor to ensure student success and connect them with ACC supports
Develop employment and career plans with students as they complete their practicum and graduate
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma in an education-related field is preferred
- Experience working with adults in an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of both employability and essential skills for Education Assistants
- Ability to work cooperatively with instructional staff, community partners and training organizations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with students in developing innovative solutions and plans.
- Demonstrated patience and non-judgemental listening skills
