Class Schedule:

As a new student, you will receive an email from the Registrar’s Office once you are registered, and will have access to your timetable through MyACC.

Horticultural Production

Program Orientation (New Students)

  • Students begin January 5, 2022
  • Observed winter reading week from February 28 to March 4, 2022
  • Classes end August 19, 2022
  • Practicum is scheduled for August 22 to September 9, 2022

Program Delivery

As a student, you should expect and plan to be on campus for the majority of your program. ‘Learn by doing through the use of college facilities and equipment continues to be an important aspect of this program. There may be one or more courses that operate in a blend of in-person and/or remote delivery. Classes are as scheduled on your timetable available through MyACC.

Technology Requirements

For this program, students are expected to own or acquire a laptop computer with the specifications detailed on our Technology Requirements webpage and bring on campus when instructed.

Work Integrated Learning Component

There will be no change to this unless public health determines restrictions that would prevent work integrated learning from occurring in industry.

Safe Work Practice and Personal Protective Equipment Needs

PPE requirements will be noted for students on their tools & supplies lists. These can be found on your specific program’s webpage. Tools & supplies lists will be available in early December. The college’s PPE standards for on campus activities will reflect current public health standards, and program and activity-specific safe work practices. Instructors will provide direction to students on those safe work practices at that time.

Clinical Placements

Clinical education continues to be an expectation of the program, preparing students with the competencies and confidence to work in this field following graduation. Assiniboine works with health authorities and CLPNM to ensure clinical placement requirements for students are met.
