Kevin Guerrero becomes the third Vincent Massey graduate to join the Cougar Men’s 2021 soccer roster.

Guerrero is a 5’11 goalkeeper originally from San Salvador, El Salvador and will be celebrating thirteen years in Canada this May. Guerrero grew up playing soccer as a toddler and is no stranger to the sport, being an avid soccer fan himself.

Known for his tenacity and passion for the game, Guerrero is a strong addition to the 2021 roster. When asked about his strengths on the field Guerrero said, “Ambition and agility in my position and always giving my best until the very end are my strongest assets.”

“I am looking forward to the competition in the league and training hard to improve as a team to reach new levels,” continued Guerrero. Head Coach Chris McLachlan is looking forward to incorporating Guerrero’s skills to assist in strengthening the relatively young roster’s defensive prowess.

“He never gives up on a play and is always willing to sacrifice his body to make a save,” said Head Coach Chris McLachlan, reiterating that same sentiment. “Kevin is ultra competitive and plays with no fear.”

Guerrero will be taking the college’s Business Administration program in the fall.
