We are looking for an Education Assistant to support our Chef Instructors, contributing to a team that is creative and passionate about passing this love of food on to our students.

Take Initiative.

You will take initiative to ensure students get the most of their time with the college by helping prepare the classroom for students. This will involve helping instructors organize course-related materials, assist with evaluation processes, and monitor students to ensure they work safely in the kitchen. You will collaborate with the team to order, receive, store, distribute, and inventory supplies as needed. In addition, you will perform various food preparation and cooking duties as required and will assist in our community events.

Deliver Results.

To deliver results, you will be a Professional Cook (Red Seal) with innovative experience in the culinary field. You will have experience with inventory control systems for the food and beverage industry, or the ability to create/use Excel spreadsheets for inventory control. You will be a professional who has the ability to work well independently and manage a daily workload while also being able to work collaboratively as part of the MICA team. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are required.
