Salary: $21.44- $25.01 hourly (Classification: Educational Assistant 1)

Assiniboine Community College strives to create exceptional learning experiences for our students. In addition to on-campus training, we partner with First Nation communities to deliver on-site training. This position will work in Norway House Cree Nation, providing educational support to students in the practical nursing academic prep program.

Be Passionate. You are passionate about student success and engagement and understand how to support individuals in a post-secondary setting. You support students by working with individuals and small groups to facilitate the application of effective study techniques and support student success by mentoring students in the classroom.

Take Initiative. Your previous work experience shows that you are used to working independently and have excellent communication and teamwork skills to support student success. Self-motivation combined with an energetic attitude and a collaborative spirit will build the groundwork for success in this position.

Deliver Results. As the Educational Assistant, you will be responsible for working with instructors to support students to meet the learning outcomes of the program. You will have a relevant educational background that will draw on your diverse experiences to support student success. Experience working in an adult learning environment and with Indigenous communities is an asset.

In accordance with the college’s strategic direction, preference will be given to Indigenous candidates.
