Be Passionate.

We are looking for two (2) Research Assistants who are passionate about horticulture research, and would enjoy participating in a recently funded project partnering with T&T Seeds Ltd. This project is to enhance local production capacity for propagating commercial sweet potato planting material through improved greenhouse systems and additional current experiments. You will work to address need and priorities for experiments, care for research materials and also record and clean data. The Research Assistant(s) must be detail-oriented, and maintain the highest standards of accuracy in both their written and practical work. One position will be located in Winnipeg, MB and be based out of the T&T Seeds Ltd. facility and work day to day with their staff.

Take Initiative.

You will work under the guidance of ACC researcher and T&T Seeds Ltd staff and be expected to take meticulous research notes, and assist with data management, experiment set-up, and protocol management. Those with previous horticultural/agricultural training and/or research experience are encouraged to apply.

Deliver Results.

You will have knowledge and training related to monitoring research material in both field and greenhouse settings, and knowledge of environmental considerations related to agriculture and/or horticulture. You will develop interpersonal and communication skills by participating in team planning sessions and community consultation process. Some limited travel may be required.
