Assiniboine Community College strives to create Exceptional Learning Experiences for our students. We place a high priority on student success and are committed to building an environment that creates and supports a high level of student engagement.

Assiniboine’s Agribusiness Diploma program combines agriculture, technology and business for an in-depth education in one of Canada's largest industries. We provide students with the big picture, with hands-on learning through labs, field trips and projects, and a dynamic, student-focused atmosphere of small classes and experienced faculty.

Be Passionate.

We are looking for a passionate instructor(s) who can teach Agribusiness Management and/or Commodity Marketing courses to our Agribusiness students. You should possess extensive industry experience in the marketing and sale of crop commodities as well as the functionality behind commodity markets. You will also need to be proficient with the micro and macro economic implications on agricultural enterprises as well as the challenges of succession planning on such enterprises.

Take Initiative.

You will deliver highly interactive, dynamic, hands-on in person classes where student understanding and success is the goal. You will be an engaging and forward-thinking instructor, who embraces our “learn by doing” philosophy while providing leadership and mentorship to students. You will provide and promote excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills around real world examples that reinforce the learning behind the subject matter presented.

Deliver Results.

To deliver results, you will have post-secondary education in Agriculture or Business (a focus on agricultural business management and agricultural commodity marketing is preferred). You will work closely with a multidisciplinary faculty as well as with other stakeholders in the community and the province. Post-secondary teaching/industry experience, including curriculum development as well as the familiarity with Ag Expert software is an asset.

This competition will remain open until filled.
