Assiniboine Community College (ACC) strives to create Exceptional Learning Experiences for its students. The college places a high priority on student success and is committed to building an environment that creates and supports a high level of student engagement.
If you are enthusiastic about your trade and feel you are ready to share your knowledge with others this might be the right fit for you. Students enjoy the hands-on experience which goes along with our “learn by doing” philosophy. We prepare students to either enter the Agricultural or Heavy Duty Equipment profession as well as help them to complete their journey to certification as a Red Seal Agricultural or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician by engaging them in a variety of intriguing lessons in a broad mix of industry fundamentals.
Instructors at ACC provide exceptional learning experiences for students. We achieve this through in-class and on-line lectures, in-shop demonstrations and in the development and revision of current industry curriculum. Our instructors provide leadership and mentoring to our students.
To deliver the essential program results, you will have a Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate in the Agricultural or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician trade. You will have several years of broad technician experience including a sound knowledge of engine repair, power trains, electrical and electronic systems and general equipment repair. You will have excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience teaching in an adult environment and teaching in an on-line format is preferred.
ACC will also be establishing an eligibility list for future Instructor, Agricultural or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician positions. An eligibility list is an inventory of qualified candidates who can fill term positions of varying lengths.
This competition will remain open until filled.
