Assiniboine Community College strives to create Exceptional Learning Experiences for our students. The School of Health & Human Services, Winnipeg, is often looking for Licensed Nurses for casual or term instructor positions in our Practical Nursing program in Winnipeg and Rotating sites. We currently have a need for instructors with experience in all areas of acute care as well as long term care.
You will be passionate about the nursing profession, ready to share your experiences and knowledge with students in the Practical Nursing program. You will be a Nurse with an interest in preparing our next generation of nurses; helping them understand the demands, joys and opportunities of the profession. Enthusiasm that can be applied to classroom management, student evaluation, academic advising and related administrative duties is essential.
You love communicating with diverse groups of people and will enjoy demonstrating your caring and comprehensive understanding of what it takes to be a great nurse. You will be inspirational to our students and will contribute to our goal of creating unparalleled student experiences for our nursing students.
You will have a valid nursing license, with a relevant education along with significant industry experience in both acute and long term care. You will be ready to deliver quality programming as a result of your highly developed communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Although not required, teaching experience in an adult environment is an asset. You will have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office with experience using Moodle being a benefit.
