International, Student Intern
Part-time Term (Mid-April 2021 – April 2022)
Salary: $15.00 per hour

The student intern position in our Assiniboine International department consists of up to 36.25 hours per week from mid-April to the end of August, followed by part-time hours from September 2021 to April 2022.This makes it a great job opportunity for students to work full-time over the summer months, and then have part-time hours when they resume their studies in the fall.
As an international student at Assiniboine, you are passionate about helping other prospective and current students in their journey with us. You are excited to provide support in the development, implementation, and coordination of international activities alongside staff in the college’s International department. These activities include being available to participate in some weekend and evening events as needed. Communicating with international students from application to graduation will be a key function of this position as you respond to email, phone, and walk-in inquiries.
You see this role as an opportunity to gain experience to go with your education. You are a student who takes initiative and can see what needs to be done. You are comfortable working independently as needed and able to make decisions about day-to-day matters for which you are responsible.
You are a current student at Assiniboine who has good communication, computer, writing, and organizational skills. You have experience working with diverse populations and are interested in learning more about others from around the globe. Knowledge of international education is considered a strong asset in this role as is prior experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various social media platforms.
