Be Passionate.

Reporting to the Chair of Public Safety, the Manager supervises and directs all security staff in all activities relating to providing a safe and secure environment for staff, students and the public at all ACC campuses. You will also oversee all day-to-day activities relating to general security function, record keeping and proposes policy and procedural modifications to ensure the security operations are meeting recognized industry standards.

You are the type of person who can manage and direct your security staff in a professional manner.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish respect, credibility and trust and maintain productive working relationships at all levels of the organization. You will make visits to all security locations on a regular basis to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, to assess security personnel, to ensure proper functioning of office systems, to identify potential updates to technological equipment related to security and to seek feedback from stakeholders concerning security operations.

Deliver Results.

You will have a post-secondary education in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Experience working in law enforcement, military police or protective services are highly preferred. You will possess a current Provincial Security Guard License or be willing and eligible to obtain and maintain it on a year-by-year basis.
