This position provides cultural and skills coaching, job coaching, and ongoing support to students in the Applied Counselling Skills Certificate program being offered in partnership with the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples in Brandon MB. This position will also conduct regular check-ins with students and be available to instructors and other program staff as a resource and to assist with students.

With your experience and in-depth knowledge of working in a variety of First Nations communities, providing job skills and cultural supports and/or training, you will be committed to providing exceptional academic and skills supports to students.

Take Initiative. As a Skills Coach, you will assist in orientation and provide ongoing cultural supports to instructors and students, deliver skills lessons and maintain an ongoing presence in virtual and face-to-face settings.

Deliver Results. In order to deliver results we are seeking an individual with a relevant credential (such as a certified career practitioner, counselling, social work, life-skills coaching etc) or other relevant education and comparable experience. You will also have a strong understanding of Indigenous culture, traditions, ways of knowing, being and doing and/or have experience working with an Indigenous organization/community.
