Math for Nurses

This course prepares individuals with the basic mathematical skills that are required for the pharmacology courses in the Practical Nursing diploma program. Topics include fractions, decimals, ratios and metric conversion; students learn how to apply these core math skills to specific nursing situations. This course is one of the requirements for admission into the Practical Nursing diploma program; a passing mark of 95% must be achieved. This course does not include lectures, but instructor support by email, phone or online is available.Currently this course is offered by online delivery only, which allows students to work at their own pace and write the online exam as soon as they are confident in their math knowledge. All modules and the exam must be successfully completed on or before the listed course end date.
