Admission Requirements

1)      Academic: Equivalent of Manitoba Grade 12

2)      English Language Proficiency:  IELTS Academic test with overall score of 5.5 with no subscore less than 5.0, or equivalent score on other acceptable English Language Proficiency assessment. 

3)      Pass required medical and kinesiology tests. Pleae note that applicants must have good mental and physical health with the ability to lift 50 lbs, work in cold environments, and be on their feet for long periods.

Comprehensive Health Care Aide - International

The CHCA program prepares you for a challenging and fulfilling career in health care.  If you have compassion and respect for people of all ages and cultures, then being a health care aide can be a rewarding choice.  There is a strong clinical component in a wide variety of health care settings and the program emphasizes employability skills desired by health care employers.  Graduates my find employment in acute and extended care hospitals, personal care homes, private care facilities, mental health settings and home care.
