Employment opportunities are varied and plentiful, in both urban and rural settings. 

Potential employers include grain companies, seed and crop inputs suppliers, banks and credit unions, livestock supply outlets, agricultural equipment dealers, government agencies, agronomists/consultants, and co-operatives. 

Career opportunities include agriculture, agronomy, sales and service, finance, livestock, marketing, management, research, administration and precision agriculture. 

Graduates are eligible for membership in Manitoba Institute of Agrologists as Technical Agrologists. 

Graduates may elect to complete certifications required for Pesticide Applicators/ Dispenser licensing in Manitoba, to challenge the Prairie Provinces Certified Crop Advisor exam.

Our connection with professional organizations allows our graduates to join a related professional organization or to gain advanced standing in their professional education programs.

Our connections with post-secondary institutions include a variety of transfer opportunities.  Start at Assiniboine and get a two-year college diploma. Then, further your education at partnering institutions and receive credit towards their related degrees/diplomas.

Several high schools have agreements with Assiniboine. In these instances, high school students may receive advanced standing at Assiniboine.
