Our program is located at the Len Evans Centre for Trades and Technology at ACC's North Hill Campus. Completed in 2010, this 130,000 square foot facility features innovative shops, laboratories and classrooms. 

It’s a hands-on environment! You’ll focus on the basics of shop skills, electrical, engines and power trains as you learn to repair and service cars and light-duty trucks. 

Our industry-based work experience provides essential on-the-job training to develop confidence in your ability and a sense of your career direction. It’s also a great networking opportunity with potential employers.

You’ll graduate with valuable skills in high demand and will be able to take advantage of opportunities automobile dealerships, sales, repair and service shops, as well as automotive component parts and rebuilding shops.

In this program, you will learn to repair and service both cars and light-duty trucks with a focus on fundamental shop skills. From there, gain skills in repairing engines, powertrains and electrical systems. You will work inside our modern automotive shop at the Len Evans Centre for Trades and Technology, a 130,000 square foot building at our North Hill campus in Brandon.

You will graduate with valuable, in-demand skills so you can take advantage of career opportunities at automobile dealerships, repair and service shops, as well as automotive component parts and body shops.

Steer your career in the right direction with work experience during your time at Assiniboine. You will get essential on-the-job training as you meet with possible employers. Register as an apprentice within two years of completing the program and your in-school technical training may count towards your Level 1 Automotive Service Technician.
