Applications to Baking Foundations for both Brandon and Winnipeg opened on Monday, January 11, 2021. Applications submitted before this date will not be processed.
Please note that programs indicating that they are OPEN for applications does not mean that seats are available. Capacity is limited and programs may fill very quickly.

Baking Foundations
One Academic Year Certificate (13 months)
Baking Foundations is an interactive program featuring high level student/instructor interaction and a high degree of hands-on experience through in-class baking production. Students learn preparation procedures, production methods and presentation techniques for baked goods, pastry and desserts.

- Academic: The equivalent of Manitoba Grade 12
- English Language Proficiency:
IELTS Academic test with an overall score of 6.0 with no subscore less than 5.5; OR
Duolingo score of 105 or higher, with no subscore lower than 90, (except Production where the minimum score is 85); OR
Equivalent score on other acceptable English Language Proficiency assessment.
Comprehensive Health Care Aide - International
One Academic Year Certificate (9 months)
The CHCA program prepares you for a challenging and fulfilling career in health care. If you have compassion and respect for people of all ages and cultures, then being a health care aide can be a rewarding choice. There is a strong clinical component in a wide variety of health care settings and the program emphasizes employability skills desired by health care employers. Graduates may find employment in acute and extended care hospitals, personal care homes, private care facilities, mental health settings and home care.

Food Processing

The Food Processing (Animal Proteins) program prepares you for a cutting-edge career in Canada’s growing meat processing industry. Learn all aspects of the trade, including nutrition, safety, tools, workplace values and essential communication skills. Enjoy a newly built, modern teaching lab with all the trimmings. Develop skills in curing and smoking for all types of animal protein, including poultry, beef, pork, goat and lamb.

Duolingo score of 95 or higher, with no subscore lower than 85, (except Production where the minimum score is 75); OR
Equivalent score on other acceptable English Language Proficiency assessment. - All applicants must sign and submit the Food Processing (Animal Proteins) Self Declaration form with their application. Applications which do not include this form will be considered incomplete.
