Assiniboine offers a wide variety of programs through Continuing Studies—programs that are aligned to enhance your skillset whether you’re currently in a career (but need to learn new skills) or seeking out a new one (and want to change things up).
Our continuing education programs are built in tandem with industry experts and are a result of industry demand. These programs teach you the skillsets that local employers are looking for. The part-time format of our programs makes it easier to fit education into your busy schedule. You get the flexibility to earn and learn.

This competency-based online program allows you to work and learn at your own pace, while receiving practical and applied training in word processing, accounting, spreadsheets, database and Internet searches, office procedures, communications and business calculations.

Prairie Horticulture
The Prairie Horticulture program is designed specifically for the prairie provinces, providing skills and training for owners, managers or employees of horticulture businesses as well as anyone with an interest in horticulture.
Choose from one of four streams of study; fruit and vegetable production, greenhouse crop production, landscaping and arboriculture or nursery crop production.

Certificates of Achievement
Heavy Equipment Operator
The six-week in-class program is delivered using three components: high-end computer simulation training, instructor-led in-cabin training on multiple pieces of equipment, and an on the job practicum placement.

Assiniboine’s partner, UGotClass, offers ten online certificate programs provided by the Learning Resources Network (LERN), the largest continued education association in the world.
