Overview
As a WIWD staff member, you will play a key role in the implementation
and monitoring of environmental and agricultural stewardship projects. This position supports
WIWD programs by working directly with landowners, conducting site visits, collecting and
managing environmental data, and ensuring compliance with funder, provincial, and WIWD
requirements.
This is a full-time term position, with a strong opportunity to transition to a permanent role,
subject to performance, program needs, and funding continuity.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Studies, Environmental
Engineering, Agriculture, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field is
considered an asset.
• Experience working in an environmental field or related role is an asset.
• Knowledge of agricultural practices and environmental Best Management Practices
(BMPs) is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with watershed-based programming, soil health, riparian management, or climate
adaptation is an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; ArcGIS Pro or GIS experience is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with landowners and partners.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and interested in applied, on-the-ground environmental work.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
