Support for Ukrainian Citizens

Assiniboine Community College stands in solidarity with Ukraine and is steadfast in its support for the people of Ukraine.

Domestic Tuition Rates

For the 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25 academic years, college programs will be offered at domestic (Canadian) tuition rates to Ukrainian citizens or non-Ukrainian citizens who travel to Canada on the Canadian-Ukrainian Authorized for Emergency Travel (CUAET) Federal program. This comes in support of the pathways provided by the Government of Canada and Province of Manitoba to welcome Ukrainians relocating to Canada. One of seven Manitobans is of Ukrainian descent.

To Choose a Program

For a list of programs open to international students, please visit our Available Programs page. This includes one-year certificate, two-year diploma, and one-year advanced diploma (post-graduate) programs.

To Find Tuition & Fee Amounts

Estimated program costs are located under the 'courses & costs' section of every program webpage. Ukrainian citizens are eligible to pay the non-international tuition and fee amounts for programs beginning between July 2022 through to June 2025. If you enter a two-year program of study, the domestic (Canadian) tuition rate will remain for your second year of study.

To Apply to a Program of Study

Visit apply.assiniboine.net. From here, create an account as an international applicant. Though you are eligible for domestic tuition amounts, you will still apply as an international student. The admissions fee is $200.

Please note: Ukrainian citizens who are also permanent residents of Canada or Canadian citizens are able to apply to any program of study at our college and are already eligible for domestic (Canadian) tuition amounts. If you are a permanent resident or Canadian citizen, you are not considered an international student.

English Language Requirements

Many testing options are noted on our website at assiniboine.net/elp. If you do not meet the English language admission requirements for a program of study, please refer to our English for Academic Purposes program.
