Part Time, Term Position
Remote & Office work - Downtown Branch, 301 Vaughan Street

Are you passionate about community, education, and wellness? Our ESL Program helps adults who are new to the community learn English language skills while promoting positive coping and communication skills. As the ESL Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering online educational programming involving CLB, LINC and PBLA standards to adult learners needing English as an Additional Language training.

Qualifications

Are you the right fit?
• Able to develop, deliver, change and assess ESL online classes and program
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established curriculum goals
• Provide appropriate assistance including outreach and community resources to members
• Provide feedback, observations of accomplishments or challenges to students and ESL Coordinator
• Supervise volunteers and students
• Complete administrative responsibilities
• Attend meetings and professional development opportunities

What else do you need?
• Post-Secondary Education in TESL, Adult Education
• 1–3 years of related experience
• Strong organizational, time management and computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email
• Familiarity with additional languages and cultures
• Experience with and/or understanding of cross-cultural work and cultural competence
• Strong problem solving, communication and proven leadership abilities
• Awareness of community resources related to immigrants, refugees, immigration, etc.
