Salary: $63,431 to $97,078 annually ($33.65 to $51.50 hourly)
(Educational Supplement: Masters $1.52/hour; PhD $3.03/hour)

Our culture is built on our principles for continued success: Creativity, Collaboration, and Courage. As a Driver Instructor, you will deliver the MPI driver training program in your area. Classroom and/or in-car instructor opportunities will be available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and deliver weekly instruction in the classroom and/or in-car.
- Establish an open and creative learning environment.
- Facilitate discussions and coach students on program material.
- Use Driver Education software to:
- Monitor and support student progress.
- Enter data and comments.
- Administer, review and grade assignments and/or assessments.
- Administer written tests and vision screening, if required.
- Work collaboratively with the Driver Education team and community partners.
- Possess a laptop and/or mobile device with access to the internet.
- Maintain a driver training vehicle, if required.
Qualifications:
- Be a resident of Manitoba.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience with a valid full stage Class 5 or equivalent driver’s license, issued within Canada or the United States.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage schedules independently.
- Comfortable with daily use of technology, such as emails and online applications.
- Experience facilitating training/workshops in large group settings is preferred.
- Experience teaching or coaching is preferred.
- Professional driving experience is an asset.
Conditions of Employment:
- Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check as part of the recruitment process.
- Hold a valid Manitoba Class 5F driver’s license in good standing.
- Qualify for and complete the Manitoba Driving Instructor Training course for class 5 vehicles.
- Maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driving Instructor permit.
- Maintain a valid Driver Training School and Training Vehicle permit, if required.
- Must be able to work shift work (evenings, and weekends).
