22 graduate from tuition-free CHCA program

Twenty-two new ACC graduates are celebrating today, having completed their studies in the college's 6-month Comprehensive Health Care Aide (CHCA) program.

This particular intake of students started in June 2015. The program was offered tuition-free to First Nations and Métis students living in Brandon or otherwise off-reserve, thanks to partial funding from the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples.

Graduates typically find jobs in hospitals, care facilities, mental health facilities and community settings, including home care. Graduates are also eligible to receive a block credit transfer of 15 academic credits to ACC’s Practical Nursing Program.
