ACC grads find jobs, continue to build Manitoba

A recent survey shows that a large majority of ACC graduates secure employment shortly after receiving their diplomas and certificates.

The survey, conducted earlier this year by Probe Research Inc., included responses from those who graduated from ACC between June 2012 and July 2013.

At 93 per cent, a high proportion of recent graduates who were seeking employment and were not returning to school were either employed or about to start a job. Of the students who found work, 87 per cent did so within four months of graduating.

Three-quarters of working grads had secured permanent employment within nine months of graduating. Two-thirds of those employed hold full-time positions. The average annual gross salary was $44,904.

“We pride ourselves in offering students programming that is relevant, up-to-date and fits with labour market demand,” said Mark Frison, President of ACC. “Our students graduate job-ready and in a position to succeed. Over 90 per cent of our graduates stay in the province, helping to build Manitoba.”

The large majority of grads value their time at ACC with 94 per cent saying they are satisfied or very satisfied with the education they received. Overall, 89 per cent believe the skills they learned at ACC helped them to find and secure the job they have now.
