ACC Women's Hockey Team Wins Provincials

On Sunday the ACC Women’s Hockey team won 2-0 over the Winnipeg Rage II to claim the title of Senior B Provincial Champions.
The Cougars went undefeated over the weekend starting the tournament Friday with a 3-1 win over the Winnipeg Aces. On Saturday the Cougars were matched up against the local Brandon Bandits where they handily took the game 7-0. Continuing their streak, the Cougars played an early Sunday morning semi-final winning 9-0 over the Winnipeg Devils. Kristin Friesen was in net and picked up three shut-outs in a row during the weekend.
The Cougars will now head to Red Deer, Alberta to compete in the Western Shield Championships versus teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia on April 10th – 13th.
