Assiniboine launches Early Childhood Program Management in Parkland region
December 18, 2024
Assiniboine College is bringing its Early Childhood Program Management (ECPM) to the Parkland campus this February 2025. This nine-month program offers a unique opportunity for Early Childhood Educators (ECE) in the region to enhance their skills while advancing their leadership capabilities to become directors in early learning centres throughout the province.
“This program is designed to meet the needs of busy ECE’s, with the course work covered in the program acting as toolkit for those looking to enhance their management skills as early childhood educators.” said Karen Hargreaves, Dean, Health & Human Services at Assiniboine. “By offering the program in Dauphin, we’re making advanced training more accessible for ECEs in the Parkland region, allowing them to grow their skills locally while strengthening their community.”
The accelerated program will be delivered predominantly online to provide flexible learning opportunities, accompanied by monthly in-person seminars designed to deepen student understanding and knowledge sharing. Upon successful completion of the program, students will qualify for an Early Childhood Educator Level III (ECE III) designation, equipping them with the highest level of recognition within the ECE profession in Manitoba.
“We are proud to be delivering a wide variety of unique and accessible programming for Early Childhood Educator across Manitoba. By working with government and our various partner agencies, we are committed to ensuring that we are training ECE’s that will be the leaders in industry for years to come.” added Hargreaves.
