Assiniboine launches Virtual Program Exploration Series

Assiniboine College has launched its virtual Program Exploration Series for the New Year, enabling prospective students to discover many of the college’s certificate, diploma, and post-graduate offerings with over 20-plus programs now offering free virtual information sessions online.

“As we all continue to operate in a pandemic environment, we want to ensure those who are considering college have the opportunity to make informed decisions about their program of choice as they take the next step towards a rewarding career,” said Lisa Huston, Manager of Recruitment & Conversion at Assiniboine.

“We plan to host more than 90 information sessions between January and April, allowing prospective students to attend a session on varying dates and times to ensure there is something to suit all schedules,” said Huston.

New in the Exploration Series are the School of Trade’s construction and mechanical information sessions, which have been designed to give the inside scoop on trades programs, life at Assiniboine and career opportunities following graduation. In addition, prospective students can now view upcoming information sessions based upon an area of interest.

Sessions vary in length, with most running for about one hour. All sessions are hosted via Zoom, so all participants need is a computer, tablet or smartphone with audio. While the entire Program Exploration Series is free, pre-registration is required to attend, via assiniboine.net/infosession.
