Boissevain's Trinity Billaney has joined the 2019-20 roster for the Cougar Women's Volleyball team.

The Assiniboine Community College women’s volleyball team has signed Trinity Billaney to it 2019-20 roster. Billaney is a 5’8 setter from Boissevain, Man.

Billaney played for the Cats Volleyball club and attended Boissevain School where she played for the Broncos. During her high school volleyball career, she was a member of the Broncos 2016 Provincial AA Championship and the team’s 2015 and 2017 bronze medal finishes.

She received many personal accolades including being named a 2015, 2016 and 2017 Provincial AA All-Star. Billaney was also selected as a member of the 2018 Graduating All-Star Team. She also received the Bronco Coaches Award in 2018.

“The Cougars volleyball program has been strong and is continuing to get stronger,” said Billaney. “I’m excited about continuing my volleyball career with the Cougars and hoping to bring something more to the team as a setter.”

“We identified Trinity when she was in grade 11 as one of the strongest setters in Westman,” said Cougars head coach Jeff Maxwell.

“She understands the game well and plays with a competitive edge, which helps her as a setter.”

Trinity is a strong student having achieved honour roll status in grade 9, 10 and 11. She will be taking the college’s Medical Administration program.
