BRANDON, Man. (November 21, 2022) — Jordyn Bradbury makes the first commitment to the Cougars Women’s Volleyball 2023-24 roster.

Bradbury is a 5’ 9” left side from Virden, Manitoba. In 2019, Bradbury was a member of the U14 Cats Volleyball Club program that won a provincial championship followed by a national championship in 2019.

“My strengths are in my passion for the game and my athleticism,” said Bradbury. “I’m looking forward to making new friends, continuing to develop as a player and helping build the program into a competitive team both provincially and nationally.”

Bradbury is a multi-sport athlete. She enjoys playing softball and excelled at most sports during her time at Virden Collegiate Institute. In her junior varsity years she was selected Most Valuable Player in basketball, badminton and volleyball. This culminated in receiving the title of Virden Junior High Female Athlete of the Year.

Meeting the team, experiencing a welcoming environment and Coach Neufeld’s demeanor and volleyball history were the deciding factors in Bradbury’s decision to join the Cougars.

“Jordyn has a true passion for volleyball paired with a great arm,” said coach Neufeld. “We expect she will become an offensive force as she continues to expand her game.”

Her dad is a Business Administration alumnus of the college, but Bradbury will be paving her own way and taking the college’s Social Service Worker program in the fall.

“I’m interested in this program because I want to help people and serve my community,” said Bradbury.
