Welcome Edward Segun, the new Men's Soccer Head Coach
Edward is from Lagos Nigeria. He grew up trained as an athlete and played soccer at grassroots, and semi pro level for over 25 years before migrating to Canada. He has been involved in soccer development in Brandon soccer community both as a player and coach. He joined the Assiniboine Soccer Program in 2023 as an assistant coach and physical trainer. From there, he progressed to head the Bobcats University Soccer Program in 2024/2025. He returned to the College in 2025 season as a fitness and assistant coach under Chris McLachan. Edward is a Personal Trainer at the Brandon YMCA. He has certifications as Personal Trainer, Strength Coach and Sports Nutritionist Specialist from the National Council On Strength & Fitness. He is going through his C Concacaf Diploma upgrade with a focus to acquire his B license. He is currently a student at the Football Science Institute in Spain studying Master in High-Performance Football Coach.
