Early Childhood Education Workplace program offered for 2016-18

Are you currently working in the early learning and child care field in Western and Central Manitoba? Are you looking to complete your Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma while maintaining your employment?

The college continues to accept applications for the 2016-18 Early Childhood Education Workplace Program. Training will be delivered at two locations 1) ACC Victoria Avenue East Campus, 2) Killarney Shamrock Centre. Orientations are scheduled for January 26th and 27th. Classes will begin on February 22, 2016 with classes taking place on Monday and Tuesday.

In this delivery model, students will complete all required ECE courses and participate in four practicums over the course of two years, culminating with an Early Childhood Education Diploma. This diploma is an accredited program giving graduates the opportunity to be classified as an ECE II by MELCC.

Eligible applicants will:

• Be currently employed in a licensed early learning child care facility/family centre/nursery school
• Have a minimum of two full years of experience working directly with children
• Have the support of their director/board of directors to provide replacement staff on class days.
