Free carpentry camp for kids in Brandon and Dauphin

It's hammer time!

Do you know a teenager looking to build their skills? We have two-week carpentry camps coming up this summer in Brandon and Dauphin that will intruduce them to the tools of the trade.

They'll learn how to safely use hand and power tools to plan and complete woodworking projects in the full-day classes, as they also master teamwork and personal safety.

Each class runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday to Friday for nine days.

In Dauphin, the day camp runs from Monday, July 27 through Friday, Aug. 7 (skipping the long weekend) and in Brandon, the day camp runs from Tuesday, Aug. 4 through Friday, Aug. 14. Campers should bring lunch and a snack.

These camps are suitable for teens in Grade 8-10 (approximately aged 14-16) and no previous carpentry experience is required.

Also: they're free!
