Kevin Garcia will don a Cougars jersey in the fall.

Originally from Honduras, Garcia is a hometown talent, having recently graduated from Vincent Massey High School. He is a 5’7 multifaceted player. He is athletic, smart, skilled and physical. He was captain of the Vincent Massey Vikings soccer team and won a city title in 2021-22. The next year, while playing football for the Vikings, they won the division II championship. Garcia also runs track and field and won gold with the Vikings in the 4x100 relay in 2022-23, which broke the previous City of Brandon record.

“My strongest attributes are my speed and agility,” said Garcia. “I didn’t just grow up with soccer, it grew within me making me love the sport and being competitive.”

“Kevin is a player we have watched for a couple of years. He is a team-first player who did a great job as captain of Vincent Massey the past two years,” said Cougars head coach Chris McLachlan. “He has the ability to control the midfield with a great touch and smart ball distribution on the pitch. He is also an exceptional forward with speed that is difficult to match”.

Garcia will take the colleges’ Construction Electrician program in the fall.
