Graduate outcomes remain strong

Assiniboine Community College continues to excel when it comes to graduate outcomes.

The most recent Graduate Satisfaction and Employment Survey shows that 94 per cent of ACC graduates have jobs, more than three-quarters of which are permanent.

The average annual salary is just over $45,700.

“Employment outcomes are an important measurement for us as we continue to respond to the needs of the labour market,” said president Mark Frison. “We know that 87 per cent of those who graduated this past year are working in a career related to their studies.”

“Program curriculum is designed to be highly relevant to real jobs. Instructors balance theory with practical experience so students are career-ready the day they graduate,” Frison added.

It’s good news for Manitoba as 93 per cent of graduates have chosen to stay in the province following their time at ACC.

“We’re on track to double our number of graduates by 2025,” said Frison. “Education is an economic driver and it will continue to play a significant role in the future prosperity of Manitoba.”

Ninety per cent of graduates are satisfied with the quality of education they received with 94 per cent saying they would recommend ACC to a friend or family member.

The survey was conducted earlier this year by Probe Research Inc. and included responses from those who graduated in the last year academic year, between July 2014 and June 2015
