A Wellness Event Series for Connection, Support and Self-Care

Take a moment to replenish your stores of mental, emotional and physical energy this January!

Refresh and recharge through this series of free online activities, resources and learnings.

All events are free and open to Assiniboine students and staff.

Monday, January 17

5:30 p.m. | Virtual BINGO

Indigenous Affairs invites all students to attend a free virtual BINGO night!

Rules:

  • Each player is given a set of virtual cards (depending on how many players we have). After each game, press the reset button to clear your cards and to play the next game.
  • If there are multiple winners within a game, the two or more winners will do a coin toss to determine one winner.
  • One prize/One winner.
  • Winners can pick up their prizes at Victoria Avenue East campus or prizes will be mailed to another campus if the winner is attending ACC from another city/town. Prizes can be delivered if the winner resides within Brandon city limits.

Through this training, we will discuss how to make spaces more inclusive for 2STLGBQ+ individuals. We will look at who SERC is, language and terminology used within the community, 2STLGBQ+ discrimination, and how to make our physical and online spaces more inclusive.

Bell Let’s Talk is a campaign focused on engaging Canadians to take action to create positive change in mental health. Bell has also committed to supporting post-secondary student success with the creation of the Bell Let’s Talk Post-Secondary Fund. In April 2021, Assiniboine Community College was a successful recipient of a $25,000 Kickoff Grant to support campus wellness initiatives. Leading up to and on January 26 – Bell Let’s Talk Day – visit these creative wellness resources on Bell Let’s Talk’s website:
