Overview
Airport Technologies Inc. (ATI) is looking to fill a summer position for a Mechatronics Engineering Technology student in our engineering department. This could potentially lead to a future permanent position for the successful candidate.
The job includes the following responsibilities:
- Working with 3D CAD models and assemblies
- Producing 2D drawings, laser profiles, and bills of materials
- Updating parts manuals as necessary
- Initiating, processing and completing engineering change requests and orders
- Assisting senior staff with new product design, development and testing
- Interacting with vendors regarding design/product selection and revisions
- Reviewing, deciphering and modifying vendor code for testing and deployment to vehicle controllers and displays
Qualifications
- Formal education/experience in 3D CAD modeling
- Mechanical aptitude as it applies to mobile equipment
- Must possess strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Competency with office software (i.e. Word, Excel, Acrobat, etc)
- Experience with controller code and/or electronic circuit design would be considered an asset
