Safety Coordinator

Overview

Mazergroup is a family of machinery dealerships offering agricultural, construction, and commercial turf equipment, sales, parts, and service. With eighteen locations across Manitoba and Southern Saskatchewan, we are ideally positioned to serve our customers throughout our territory.

Reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture, the Safety Coordinator will work closely with the functional areas, Corporate Health & Safety Committee, and dealership committees to oversee, inform, enforce, and monitor the Mazergroup’s Safety and Health Program and maintenance.

So, what does a Safety Coordinator do?

Promote safety and health awareness and education at all levels of the organization
Develop and enforce policies to establish a culture of safety
Manage requirements for provincial safety certifications, including conducting internal maintenance audits
Manage employee safety onboarding program; provide support to managers to ensure completion
Coordinate, plan and implement actions and recommendations in conjunction with S&H Committees/Reps

You'll be a match if you have...

COR/S2S Safety Certification Completion (including audit)
Knowledge of H&S requirements/legislation in Manitoba and Saskatchewan
Relevant H&S education and/or certifications would be considered an asset
Experience in managing and an advanced understanding of safety programs
Advanced experience with safety information system platform
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Information Systems
