Job Summary
The role of the Apprentice machinist is to produce quality parts in accordance with work order requirements and supplied drawings. Must be willing to learn and develop machinist trade skills in both manual and CNC machining.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Follow the company core values at all times. Respect, Transparent, Committed, Quality, Passion and Accountable.
• Production of machined components in accordance with drawing specifications and/or instruction, under the supervision of Journeyman trades person.
• Must be willing to learn and develop machinist trade skills in both manual and CNC machining.
• Must be willing to perform support tasks, for the machine shop to help fulfill work order requirements such as painting, assembly and other duties as assigned.
• Must comply with the safety requirements at all times before performing and job assignment.

Qualifications

Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following characteristics:
Experience – Minimum 1 year experience in a machine shop environment
Education – Completion of an accredited pre-employment machinist course and enrolled in the Manitoba apprenticeship program in the trade of machinist.
Skills – Applicant must be able to multi-task, have strong drawing interpretation skills, & mechanical aptitude
Attributes – The apprentice must have a great work ethic, able to listen to instructions and carry out tasks
