WESTMAN COMMUNICATIONS GROUP (Westman) is seeking applications from energetic, highly motivated individuals to become part of our growing team!
Westman is an industry-leading communications provider based in Brandon MB, offering residential and commercial High-Speed Internet, Digital TV, and Phone services in communities across southwestern and central Manitoba. Westman also owns and operates radio stations Q Country 91.5 FM and 94.7 STAR FM, which broadcast throughout southwestern Manitoba. Established in 1977, as a locally owned and operated cooperative, Westman is dedicated to delivering competitive and innovative services, providing an exceptional member experience, and supporting the communities we serve. What you’ll do:
• Assist with coordinating special events such as #ConnectingWestman Funding Program and #ConnectingWestman Tour
• Set-up, attend, and tear down trade shows, barbeques, and golf tournaments as required
• Assist the Team Lead, Marketing in various Westman engagement and communication initiatives
• Assist the Marketing team with social media campaigns and initiatives
• Assist with digital content marketing
• Assist with new service launches within our communities
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the team:
• A positive, upbeat attitude and pleasant personality
• Experience working with external business contacts and the general public; direct customer service experience is an asset
• Strong analytical and presentation skills; attention to detail and accuracy is a must
• A high degree of creativity with outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Well organized and self motivated; actively participates within a team environment
• Must be enrolled in a University or College Business Administration program, an emphasis in Marketing is considered an asset
