Building, Grounds, Maintenance Assistant
Overview
This position is approved under the funding programming of Urban/Hometown Green Team. All student requirements under this program must be met. This position is to maintain the museums spectacular natural beauty of its flowers and trees, manicured grounds and green spaces and buildings.
- cut and trim the grass
- weed the flower beds
- maintain the heritage vegetable garden
- maintain a clean picnic are and take out the trash
- pressure wash and stain log buildings
- take out the trash and recycling
- trim small branches
- sweep side walks inside the courtyard and outside perimeter of the palisade
- repair building downspouts
- repair lawn/stone edgings
- clean and strip the shop door
- paint, chink, repair
- other duties are assigned
Qualifications
Some background in yard maintenance, operating of yard equipment, weed wacker, leaf blower, experience in using small tools and power tools and pressure washer. Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding. Willing to train the right candidate.
