About the Opportunity

Our growing Saskatoon office is looking to add a capable and hardworking Civil Engineering Technologist to our team. Life in a growing professional practice is never boring. You will get to grow alongside our team of professionals and provide general drafting and design support from preliminary through to detailed design, as well as periodic on-site inspection of various land development projects throughout Saskatchewan.

Coupled with the unmatched learning and project experience opportunities, some of your key responsibilities will be:

• Carrying out design/drafting, drawing production, cost estimating and quantity take-offs, and construction specifications.
• Communicating with Design/Production team members and project leaders across our multiple offices.
• Ensuring quality control and verifying the accuracy of both design and drafting production work.
• Performing on-site inspection and survey for local projects.
• Coaching and mentoring team members and advising the team on technical problems and troubleshooting.
• Promoting and instilling a sense of teamwork amongst coworkers.

Qualifications

About You

This opportunity is well suited for graduates of a Civil Engineering Technology diploma program or equivalent who are excited to provide great service to our internal and external clients and have a keen interest in municipal engineering. Two years of relevant experience is preferred.

In addition, the following skills, strengths, and interests would be considered a benefit to this role:
• You possess excellent drafting skills with good knowledge of drawing setup and production.
• You enjoy collaborating with people of varying backgrounds and perspectives to provide practical solutions.
• You are comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.
• You are able to work on multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed work environment.
• You take initiative, are a problem solver and continually deliver consistent, high-quality of work.
• You demonstrate commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
• You hold a valid class 5 driver’s license and are able to travel to job sites.
• You are registered or eligible for registration with Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians.
