Project-- In Search Of Net Positive Carbon Grain Farming in Western Canada
Must believe in anthropogenic global warming and want to contribute to a mitigation project.
Must have a working knowledge of modern grain farming.
Qualifications
• Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or Administrative Assistant Certificate or similar coursework/certificates. Work placement students may be considered.
• Must be able to pass University of Manitoba short courses on ethics, integrity and confidentiality policies and procedures.
• A strong secretarial skill set, including word processing, photocopying, data input, transcribing recorded interviews, reception, faxing, emailing, research participant service skills, and verified keyboarding skills of 60 wpm.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Moderate reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of information in the workplace.
• The ability to work independently and cooperatively as an effective member of a team.
• Class 5 Drivers License
35-40 hours per week; low cost housing available
