SUMMER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Manitoba Hydro is consistently recognized as one of Manitoba's Top Employers! Join our team for the summer to build professional knowledge and gain hands-on experience! We offer over 200 summer employment opportunities in the energy industry to university and college students throughout Manitoba. There are a limited number of two month opportunities for high school students living in Northern Manitoba (north of the 53rd parallel).

We typically hire students who are enrolled in academic programs that support our operational requirements. Preference is given to students who live in Manitoba.

Qualifications

We are seeking to hire students with the following educational backgrounds (not limited to):

- Information Technology
- Business Administration
- Trades & Technology
- Environmental
- Geography
- Entry level (undeclared, U1, etc)

*Manitoba Hydro does not pay for student accommodations; students must live within one hour of the work location.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for summer employment, you must be a student who is:
- Enrolled in full-time studies before and after the work term;
- At least 16 years of age;
- Legally eligible to work in Canada;
- Reside in Manitoba for the full duration of their work term.

Applications are accepted annually in December and January. Resumés are matched to career-related positions starting February 1st, and work terms run from May to August. If your resume is received later than January, you may be matched with general labour or general administration positions.
